It is a regular question for me, lots of my colleagues visiting Lviv, and soooo often I am not in the town to make a good tour :) So I decided to give you some tips on where to go, and what to avoid based on my experience living in the city for 9+ years.
Top 5 restaurants
I am very picky on this topic tbh ^_^ And usually spend a lot of money on finding a good place in other countries. So here is my TOP list for Lviv city considering both quality and authentic touristic places which my foreign folks usually adore.
- WA Lviv
First place on my mind to suggest due to food standards they hold. This place started a new cuisine called “Smart Fusion” which aims to change the restaurant business. The place is about a small-moderate size. They have painted murals by local artists on walls. Food is very instagramish, healthy, and uniquely tasty! 😋 They have also known for good coffee and cocktails, Ukrainian craft wine, very friendly service, and nice guests. It is my top recommendation for those who looking for something new, unique, and decent. Also, they have the best restaurant delivery service in Lviv - link. The place holds a restaurant, show bar, karaoke and counts as one of the top in Lviv. The kitchen holds high standards. Best hookah in town. The place has a dress code (no sports clothes allowed). Place big and has really nicely done Peking Duck. Good service and just good decent place with a nice facility. (similar place Cloud7) - Kryivka
It is kinda a bunker that rebels used as a shelter in the second world war. It is better to go with someone from Ukraine, to explain all details, though you just need to know a password at the door — “Слава Україні” (Slava Ukraiini, means glory Ukraine) and just be prepare cause you need to drink a honey liquor which will check if you are not a communist XD.
Good place with Ukrainian food. A bit load, but a fun place with nice thematic. - Lviv Coffee Manufacture
It is an underground place where Lviv people “procure coffee”. Fun place. Just ask for a coffee with fire ;)

Another fun place. A cafe with “certain” rules. I think you should just to explore ;) I need to keep it as a secret, main rule, just be submissive ^_^
